New 2015 435ix, and new to Bimmerpost!

Hi all, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Finally bought a BMW and have zero regrets! It was a bit of a whirlwind process though. Friend had just bought a 2015 M235ix convertible and was going back to the dealer to pick up his "swag" from the sales guy. I decided to tag along to take a ride in the car. Saw the 435 in front of the main doors, looked it over, and the rest was history. Went from a 2014 Mustang GT track/premium with Flowmasters to this.

Sorry for the potato pictures, they are the best I have, lol.

Beautiful! Congrats!

The current Mustang is beautiful too. Having owned a '14 GT and now this, what are the primary differences (performance / interior / overall experience)?

There are a couple of the major differences that I have found thus far:

- interiors: there is no comparison. The BMW is a very well put together vehicle that the dated interior of the GT could not keep up with. I know it's a BIT unfair to compare the two rather than comparing the '15 GT new body style to the '15 BMW, but it is what it is. The GT was running on an interior that was essentially 3-4 yeas old by that time and was showing age (dated switches, no push start/stop, comfortable yet boring looking seats...)

- exteriors: hard to compare the two here. One is a coupe and the other is a GT. Essentially both two doors each with "usable" back seats. My money is with the styling of the 435 though.

- other: the GT was a HUGE "look at me" car with a loud exhaust that turned heads and sounded GREAT. Not having changed the exhaust on the BMW from it's current MPower exhaust, it's hard to compare the two on equal grounds.

Over all, I love the BMW much more than the Mustang, but still have a spot in my heart for it.

Thanks for the comparison! I was thinking '14 was the new Mustang body style but was mistaken. Did you cross shop the 435 with the '16 GT? I imagine that would have been a closer comparison.

Great choice, though. The way yours is setup is top notch.

Looks like you got the limited ZHP edition? Unless it's just loaded with all M-performance stuff. Great looking car you have there!
