Ive got them down to £21 for fibre unlimited (38mb max) and £53 for sky tv (variety, sports, hd and box sets, would normally be £74).

From what is being said on here, I should be looking for more off the tv deal. Down to something like £37 per month? Do you actually have to cancel your subscription to be given it?
I got the whole thing, Q + TV, all packages, Fibre, phone unlimited for £64 a year ago.

I actually cancelled sky last year and then got a deal for entertainment and sport (non hd) for £11 a month and £100 credit on my account via hotukdeals. Deals now come to an end and I have cancelled again and will wait for a similar deal. Already been offered 50% off but I feel there's a better deal in the offing.

I do have the full bt triple play (infinity 2) for £51 which I just renegotiated down from £80 by actually starting a transfer to talk talk so I'm in no rush.

I don't think Sky q would work for me as I don't have a phone socket near the tv so can't have the router there.

£64 is a great deal though, did you have to actually quit to get that offer?

You don’t need a router near the tv or a phone socket.

My understanding was that if you have Sky fibre and sky q you have a single box, is that not right?

This just gets better. I just want to cancel.

Tried online 'IM' chat a few times in the week. I kid you not after the hello auto reply the 'IM' notifies me I'll be with an agent in about 30 minutes

Tried to call the 03 number today to cancel. Greeting message says a 1hr wait.

WTF!

Surely this quality organisation are not in that much trouble they need to make it this difficult to cancel.

So poor.
1 hr waits in a call centre. Really in this day and age!!

I was told 1 hour wait on the phone on thursday, it took about 2 minutes. Called up again today, and was told 20 minute wait, it only took about 3 minutes. Ignore the recorded waiting times.
I haven't managed to get through on the online chat yet though, always busy.

They do make it very hard to cancel both in terms of getting through to them and then it takes several long conversations for them to accept your decision. Be persistent and joy can get there and then the offers start to flow in.

Yes. It's cancelled. Process was annoying however:-

1) call in, told 1hr wait time. Blatant tactic to get you to put the phone down, as others had said it's a lie. Call answered in 1 minute I kid you not!!! Outrageous!!!!

2) reach a Speech Rec IVR. It works well and picks up I want to CANCEL and am unhappy with service.

3) speak with an Indian CC at first who offer me 2 options. i) Cancel or Iii) talk to retentions who might offer a deal. I request I) and state I just want to leave. The audio on this connection is terrible and the Indian lady is very hard to understand. It's extremely annoying to have just put all my details into the IVR, they literally know who I am, I've been ID&V'd and know I'm cancelling .... but upon answering she asks what I am calling for??!??!!! FFS!

4) I'm put through to the guy who eventually handles and processes my cancellation and leaving. However it's clear he is from retention team option Ii) and spouts offers

5) finally after 25 minutes it's all done, confirmation email out and packaging coming in the post to send back the terrible Q boxes

Pretty unprofessionally handled. The only decent part is posting return packaging out to me.

So I'm £90 a month back up, man maths could turn that into a 911 upgrade maybe.

Football down the pub without home interruption will actually be a blessing too!

Used their call back option today and it said someone would call me in 9 minutes time. Right on cue, I received a call.

Basically they offered 40% of the TV package (not anything else) if I signed for 18 months or 10% off if I sign for another 12 months.

Pretty poor I think. I don't really want an 18 month contract as the market seems pretty aggressive at the mo.

I have another month contract to go so will call a gain next week.

We got 50% off 2/3 months ago with no minimum contract. That was 2/3 weeks & a couple of phone calls from them to us after we cancelled.

I called sky to cancel my £52 a month TV deal.
Got through in ok time and informed them that I'm leaving due to their refusal to honour a promotion of up to £200 off sky sports when buying a 4k TV - due to me being a 20 year loyal customer.
Guy accepted my decision and gave me a months notice.
I've had two emails offering to cancel my leaving, but no offers to keep me.
The box went off last week.

I've got Netflix and Kodi. The point is that they made no attempt to keep the business whatsoever.

I'll try life without them.

We're cancelling too, we were on 67% across the whole package, tv, line rental broadband and calls. They've only offered 40% off tv package. Go f@@k yourself Sky!

I am nearing the end of a 60% discount, only have the TV package, no sport or anything special.

We really don't watch anything other than the freeview channels, do like the Sky + ease of recording but wanted to ask what are the best alternatives? Now that I have a dish is Freesat an option and how best to record programmes?

You can get a ?Freesat from Sky? card for your existing Sky box assuming it?s not a Q box you have. Don?t think it allows recording though so you might need to buy a dedicated Freesat PVR.

They wouldn't come down below £53 per month without removing things from my subscription, so I cancelled.

I can see a 30% offer in my online account, but nothing more than that as yet. I'll sit tight for a couple of weeks and see what I can get to.

I'll take the approach of leaving it until a week before the cancellation is due to occur and then see if they've re-thought their offer.

My main issue with sky was that they lost all proper European football but refused to drop their prices... And also I wasn't happy having to put up with my 5 year old equipment.. Went with BT for a while... Not as good mind but at least I have all the footy now... Sky threatened me with not being able to come back for a year if I left... But I have had constant mail since leaving offering good deals to go back.

30% is the best offer I've had since cancelling yesterday.

Are 50% deals a thing of the past? Or do I just need to sit and wait for a couple of weeks?
