My 1st Mods to the car
Mods planned before getting the car were:-
Rear Spoiler Performance Grill Fog Bulbs Front Indicator Bulb Coding Rear spoiler was again easier than I thought, the colour match is perfect (pics look like it's different, but I assure you it's the same... The Bulb removal was also fairly easy. Just angle the wheels in and remove 3 screws holding the plastic lining, and you can then see inside and remove the fog bulb by twisting. Resulting in:- Before Pic for comparison:- New Bulb. (very slight blue tint, but lot better match than the Yellow OEM bulb) Indicator Bulb was easy again, in the same area further in there is a small cut out that just needs to be removed. Just pull out gently and shows this:- Results:- Before After Have to say i can see in the daylight a reduction in the brightness but not major... With Indicators on Before After Mod of M Performance logo:-

Cant seem to buy anything similar to those fog lights in the UK. I just ordered some from the US, price very similar. $8 for the lights 20 something for shipping.
GP thunder 7500k.

VenKata, excellent. I would like to do the same with the fogs. You pics are great to prepare with thanks.
What in the M Pefromance logo in the dash? How are finding the 18" wheels? |

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360593402733 The alternative were the 4300 crystal vision, but the reports are a bit of a yellow tint, so opted for the 5000k in the end. Not a perfect match, there is a blue/green tint, but i'm happy. Personally feel the yellow bulb spoils the look... Even more so with the adaptive lights, the fogs come on regularly. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321064371470 Price includes delivery but be prepared to pay £14 import duty as I had to...

I know there is a very distinct 18" camp and 19" camp on these forums for the M Sports. For me coming from a very very stiff E46 M SPort suspension with 18", I wanted a very comfortable ride, so also opted for the Adaptive Suspension. I definitely have that with this car. I'm so glad!!!! Can't comment on the 19" ride quality though. Cleaned the wheels today, again so much more easier than the MV2s I had on my previous car. Plus I prefer the look of the 18" too so was a no brainier for me...

Note also, if memory serves me right he does state red will not be a good match. If you have any questions about the spoiler, he's very quick to respond.

Everything you have done there looks great. The aesthetic difference of the bulb changes is remarkable and something I will have to do too.
Thanks for the instructions too. |

Unfortunately wasn't able to spec the Xenon headlights but is there a bulb change for the standard DRL's to give a whiter light similar to your fogs?
Otherwise your mods look great, very jealous as someone still waiting for their EBII car to arrive. |

I'm not sure what type of bulbs are required for the non-Xenons, but would look to aim around temperatures between 4300k and 5000k. Any lower it will be a yellow tint and any higher will be too blue / purple

Saying that if you want to swap with LEDs, you can code the car to ignore the errors for specific bulbs.
