Night latch help
Our back door is solid wood and currently has a 5 lever mortice lock, it's 55mm thick so quite substantial
I want to fit a night latch such as the Yale PBS 2 but am no expert on locks. What's the best option? Thanks |

It's almost irrelevant which night latch you go for, they're not the main security of the door and they're just screwed to the surface of the frame so easily kicked off. At least two 5 lever mortice locks will have more of a security impact than any night latch thing.

There are a number of products that are designed to counter door attacks.
http://www.kickstop.co.uk Some are relatively easy to fit. Bizarrely (as I have found out) a bloody thick draft excluder stops the door opening, overly far and restricts entry - bloody women |
