Service manual recommendations

I'm the happy owner of a 2020 (F33) 440i xDrive convertible. I'm currently looking for a service manual to go with it. I've found the Bentley manual (https://www.amazon.com/BMW-F32-F33-S...dp/0837617650/), but it looks like it only covers the series pre-LCI and only the N engine families. Does anyone have recommendations on other manuals or some supplement that covers the B58?

They're pretty much done with moving forward past f30 (pre-lci) . The best option now is to get ista+ software running. It contains all the manufacturer repair procedures and I think it's the only viable option now. I found it online with a bit of effort but I believe there may be a guy in the diy subforum who can hook you up now

You maybe in luck. RightMeow23 posted a link that still seems to be working as of this writing for a free 250MB F30 service manual you can DL from a Google Chrome Drive:

I guess it's time I got that up and running on one of my old laptops. I've got a few versions of both the old and new ISTA versions downloaded. I really should have thought of that first.

Thanks for the link. It's a pre-LCI manual but it sure looks thorough. I'll likely still pick up a copy of the Bentley just because they're always a great reference.

Actually does have references to the LCI B58 engine. The rest is pretty much the same across the F3x platform.

BMW, and many other manufacturers, is doing everything it can to deny drivers of information they need to do their own work. That's why the most recent Bentley only goes through 2015 models. Given their way you won't even be able to use an OBD code reader. Should a Right to Repair law come up for consideration in your locale be sure to support it.

I went through all my stuff and it looks like the latest version of ISTA+ I have is 4.25.40. I'll have to take some time this weekend and get it up and running. Does anyone know where to get a more current version? PM me if you do. Thanks.

Check eBay. I think I paid like $15 for the manual I posted to my google drive. The dude had others but I’m not for sure on the models. It was some sketchy looking Russian I believe seller

Anyone know one for the B46 / B48? Specifically, for the LCI 430i please.

This is great. Do you know how I could find the same manual for an F30 with a b48?

You can get most of the parts for b48/58 unlike Tesla. As far as service manuals maybe not so much but there are YouTube videos and maybe something on fcp euro. Right to repair should be a thing but at least it’s easier with legacy auto manufacturers and lots of people are repairing and modifying b58s so there’s plenty of resources in the aftermarket community.
