As for Parking in Paris, it's terrible...
i have never driven in London so i cannot tell... but i heard it's expensive to go intra-murals... gotta pay tolls!

I would suggest you do your ED elsewhere and drive where there are less people and more of a scenic route...

you really dont want to waste your time in urban traffic...

My family lives there, so i had no choice.
I found driving and parking in Paris easier than NYC or Rome. I have also driven through Rome/Venice and traffic was fine. Nothing is worse than driving in NYC or NJ.

Thank you for sharing the awosome pics. It seems that you are professional photographer with all that equipment stuff. Just when you saw your "baby" for the first time in the BMW Welt hands got a bit shaky. I hope you enjoy driving in SoCal when the F30 has been shipped to the US. In LA I once saw a BMW still with ED license plates on the front. After delivery will you remove the german plates? Will you post some pics after the F30 has arrived in OC?

Nice thread, but way, way, way too many pictures. I honestly would have liked to have followed your journey, but I didn't need to see 20 pictures of a VW Beetle. I honestly drowned in too much information and you lost me.

Looks like you had a great time!

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing that great photos of your trip.

I really enjoy viewing every photo. At first I try to view them using firefox but it gets too slow, but with safari for mac it works great without issues.

Your car is really great and I see that all your family really enjoy driving your amazing BMW in Europe.

I think that after driving so many days a BMW in Europe it is difficult to think that you will not drive in a long time in those amazing and beautiful places.

Right now I am on page 6 because I like to take time to view your photos, I will love to keep viewing all the photos you upload.

I see that you also place a video camera in you car, are you going to upload a video of your trip in youtube?

About your phone I am sorry, but unfortunately Europe is full of pickpockets maybe on of them took your phone. In my last trip to Europe my iPhone 4 was taken by a pickpocket.

I recommend you to upload all your photos to another website also like flicker in high resolution, people will enjoy viewing your photos in a bigger resolution.

When I go to Europe (most every 2 to 3 years) I seek B&Bs outside the city(s) then use public transport to go into town (parking the car safe at the B&B). My next rip this fall will be from Eastern Canada to London, UK Paris, France Berlin, then München, Germany and return to London, UK for the trip back to Canada. I will do this on a Rail Pass rent cars when needed.

Fuel prices, parking and worries about your car parked in unfamiliar suroundings will leave you with sleepless nights something to think about.

This will be my third trip to München, Germany a visit to "Die Welt, the Factory and Museum" is a great experiance so is the ED delivery. I prefer to purchase my car then take local delivery in Canada. Perhaps it is just e worrying too much what would and could happen to that brand new car

Anyway these are my thoughts.
