Standard brake upgrade

I have standard brakes. I'm looking for upgraded discs and pads. Preferably drilled discs. Can anyone recommend any? I'm thinking yellow stuff pads

Depends what you want, do you want great road brakes that also work on a track, or do you want great track pads that also work on the road?

Which 3 series do you have? There are upgraded calipers and discs available through the m performance division for the 340i, not sure about other models.

He has a 335d, which has the same 340mm discs & 4 pot Brembo calipers as the 335i/340i

I didn't know I had brembos. Mine just say BMW but there's a brake upgrade available to larger M calipers that are red or yellow along with slotted and dimpled rotors. Expect to pay a BMW tax for these, however.

Your fronts are, rears are single piston floating calipers though.

Depends how much you want, I'd just try a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads at £125 first.

Do pads, braided lines and fluid first, see how you get on. Ferodo DS2500 are a good fast road/light track pad, Goodridge for the lines and something like Motul RBF600 fluid as long as you don't mind changing it every 6-9 months due to it's hygroscopic nature

Well, I've been through all this faff of trying these or that pads, braided lines, better fluid. If you're on track, or in the Alps on a long downhill then it gets you a further two or three corners, but really not that meaningful difference.

These are complete overkill perhaps, but I love them!
