Here's a 19" Winter Setup. Granted it's for an M Car, but, the specs are 19x9.5 ET22 with 255/35/19 tires. If you are looking for a 19" winter set, give me a shout! We've got some great deals going on 19" winter setups!

The Silence of 18-inch Runners?
Quote:
- reducing the wheel diameter by 1 in. (radius by 0.5 in.) means the sidewall will be roughly 0.5 in. higher if overall diameter is kept constant - the higher sidewall will be more compliant, which reduces the risk of bending or cracking a rim during 'pothole season' - winter tires on a narrower 18-in. wheel will be both cheaper and narrower than a 19-in. tire. - a narrower tire will perform better in snow and slush ('cutting through' -- with a reduced tendency to 'float over' or aquaplane) - I use a 'square' setup with 225/45-R18 winter tires. The winter tire is almost 2.5 in. narrower than the 255/35-R19 summer tire it replaces Here's my setup: 18-in. BBS-SR wheels with Continental WinterContact 830P tires |

19s would be a little harsh for the wheel and for the climate, IMHO.
I've also got the same 18" BBS-SR setup (but with Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 tires). |
