Smile BMW 7 series preview by Karim Habib

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi everyone,

I am part of the team that manages and operates the BMW Club UAE. A couple of weeks back we had the honour of meeting Mr. Karim Habib during an exclusive event for select club members and the board.

The event was held in an art gallery and we got a chance to experience the new 7 series straight from the man responsible for its design and also got a chance to have a 1-1 interview. We then sat down with him for dinner where we had a more informal chat.

Below are the links to the video's we captured during the event. It truly was a memorable experience. Hope you all enjoy it!

I really miss Chris Bangle design. For example, E90 interior, in my opinion, feel much more refined than the current one. It would've been even more refined than the current C class interior if they upgraded the center console..

Unreal comment.
What is so unreal?
The imagination you put into your pathetic post.
??? Are you retarded or what??
Or you just don't like certain people??
Who the fuck cares? He was commenting on the designer being Arab, how the fuck is that offensive? Maybe he's proud of that.....jeez it's a lame ass 7 series like 500 people in the US may consider buying at some point.

God this forum is going south.
Thank you for "getting it"

I'm a 3 series lover but I found this entertaining and interesting. I always viewed the 7 series as the technology/comfort/chubby aspect of the brand. BMW itself has been posed as a Motorsport brand for the mainstream. The fact that the 7 series is attempting to take on the "sporty" identity is reassuring that complacency is not brewing within! I know it sounds dumb because the 7 is the one you buy when your living fat.....but an M7 sounds really cool. I don't think we outgrow awesome design, performance, functionality and horsepower EVER! Comfort can still bone out right? So gimmie an M7 with flared fenders, an S# motor and a chiller for my drank!

I love the 7 series, whenever I drive the 7 E65 (not a fan of the F01) I never feel like inside a luxury limousine, it's always more like a more premium 5 series for me. It always feels like a dynamic car with premium elements.

I agree.....it is relatable to a 5. I don't necessarily need all the gadgets but it's sleek and I like that. I'm just appreciative of the sporty aspect newly implemented into the series finally. Like I said.....just because your in the 7 series market, doesn't mean you don't want power and handles.

It is nice to hear about successful and positive stories about Arabs who do good and affect progressive on this world.

Right now this could serve as inspiration for others to do good things with thier lives rather than be tempted to employ thier energy to destructive causes.

Maybe, and I am reaching, this what he was thinking about.

Oh, and I would also like to get back to discussing BMWs now.

I actually think it's pretty cool, to be honest. If you read this month's Roundel, Chris Wright has a good discussion about the two middle eastern designers at BMW and their influence, which I thought was a great thing to highlight.

But your post came across the other way for me and others. Glad you didn't mean anything poor by it. There's enough of that around these days.
