You willing to pay market adjustment?
Through some attrition on my dealer's wait list I now find myself at the top! Like many on this forum I've been waiting a long a** time and had calc'd I'd be waiting until very late 2016 to finally get it based on my original spot. But now I've got a decision I didn't think I'd have to face - pay the likely market adjustment or walk away and wait until probably 2017? I like a deal. And to me, sticker on this rig has turned out to be a great deal. But I think I'm gonna walk if the adjustment is more than a grand or two. What about other list toppers - you willing to pay the market adjustment? How about everyone else not at the top, would you pay or walk?

Prepared to pay MSRP, but will absolutely NOT pay any market adjustment. Number 2 on my dealer's allocation list.

No. I get mad thinking about it. It's not the money, it's the principle.

My hope - the slick top only will deter the knuckleheads who walk through the dealer doors and pay market adjustments. And enthusiast will refuse to pay. Remember how long LTWs sat on lots because they were "stripped".

Nope. The reason I didn't get a GT350 was the idiotic markup. I called at least 300 dealers and they were all charging 5-20k. I found two which were msrp but sold through already. But I can't do business with Ford as a result. I have a friend who works at Ford motor co. Even she can't get it for msrp and is subject to dealer rules. Which is just dumb.
If anyone needs msrp, I can put you in touch with my guy but you may not be very high on the list. |

No way. Not even a little bit.
There are plenty of honest and decent dealers out there that will stand by msrp and would love to earn your business. Venture out of your city or state and find them. Get the car delivered at the performance center, have it shipped or ED. All of them miles better than taking a mark up. |

MSRP, yes. Market adjustment, no.
Once the M2 comes out, just use AutoTrader to find a dealer that's offering MSRP, and you probably won't have a problem, though you may have to drive a bit. I'd rather drive 100 miles to get a fair price than pay a $5000 adjustment to the dealer down the street. |

I have come to find out that my dealer is no longer offering ED MSRP for ED.
Would you all be will to pay US MSRP for ED though? That would be a pseudo market adjustment.

I paid $500 market adjustment for my 2003 Lancer Evolution just to be the first during the release in January. If I want it bad enough anything reasonable is ok.

And that's the same thing that happened to the OP. I called more than half the BMW dealer network in search of a dealer that would provide a car via ED at the ED MSRP. If I hadn't got that price I wouldn't have gotten a 1M. |
