I'm not sure they are probably just as susceptible. I had a former boss who had a fake Alpina B7 on a 3 year old 750i platform. Didn't like fielding any questions about the car...he was a finance guy at a dealership I worked at when I used to sell cars. That should tell you all you need to know.

I don't see an issue with having an M license plate cover. Especially on M sport models.

Right, that's the point. He was asking if it counts as a FAKE M car.

To contribute...no M badge, but, you know....
For one moment I really thought it was a civic. There's a civic (at least used to be) running and similar wing and a similar paint (just add a touch of orange to that yellow) around my area.

At the risk of sounding obvious and raise the ire of their owners.... shouldn't thread be full of M Sport packaged Bimmers?

I've seen around 4-5 Fake M's. Never really took a picture of them but just laughed. Next time i see them i will make sure to snap a pic for y'all.

PS: what do you guys think of grill stripes on non-m cars. Is that a bad thing/laughable? Always thought they looked cool regardless of M or not

I'll admit I've thought of taking the M off my 235i. Especially since my buddy bought a M2 a few months ago

If it's not an M or M Sport, you're a poser.

Yes, That is the 218i or 218d m sport active tourer/gran tourer. And that is an official bmw factory press car
Yes, thats right, BMW's ///Marketing division is putting out official factory M badged FWD cars (MPV's non the less!...) with a 2 litre petrol or diesel engine no less...
That's what that badge is worth nowadays. I think bmw is the only one to go that far with marketing their top of the line logo's
