Burble
What's the best burble option for a stock F82 2016 with MPE already fitted. JB4? Or is there something else available in Oz that's better? Noticed the Hex Tune seems to be US only at this stage.

You need a bench flash, none of the piggybacks offered have a brurble tune to it.
You need a car with the competition pack or a proper tune with modified overrun to get the burble. |

Get the VF hex flash. A lot of people seem to be happy with the HP and TQ gains plus you get the burbles. There's a thread on her specifically for this tune.

The entire F-series BMW ECU has not been cracked yet. This means that the only way to "tune" it is via a Piggy back (like JB4) or bench Flash (they physically take out the ECU from the engine bay) and they Flash it completely and properly (ie they alter the boost setting, air-fuel ratio etc). A fair number of M3/4 guys have already done this and are highly impressed. As we all know, BMW's are severely underatted and restricted (due to emission compliance). A Flash Tune with added Downpipes will see gains from stock 317kw to 400kw. The only one at the moment in Melbourne that I know of they do proper Flash tuning is ''Evolve Technik'' in Box Hill http://www.evolve-technik.com.au/ Speak to Christian or Peter Fitzgerald. They've done a fair few already. Other shops who claim to do this, only take out your ECU and they send it off for Flashing - they don't do it themselves (they are a third party commission). Adding Downpipes to the expensive MPE will certainly give you the added sound your looking for. I would say that if you wanna tune your car, do it the right way. Its a $170k car so Give the M3/4 the respect it deserves. Hope this helps. |

The burble from the VF HEX tune sounds very artificial IMHO.
It rumbles too evenly, and sounds contrived (which it is) instead of proplerly random overrun popping and burbling.
