340i, 25% city 75% highway. I average 28mpg with a moderately heavy foot. I can get 40mpg if I tried on my commute. On my 328xi I averaged 28mpg as well.

340i
25mpg average speed 30.5
I believe I'll have high 20 or low 30 if I didnt idle so freaking much normally a hour a day of idle waiting for my fiance, or friend, or sitting in Jersey traffic

I average around 350 miles on my 428xi GC. Whenever I get a 335/340 loaner I get way better gas mileage. I think not having to push the car as hard to get up to speed means the engine works way less. Not what I was expecting, since I got the 28i engine for the better fuel economy...

Jesus I went through half a tank yesterday on a 428 GC xDrive loaner. Did 50 miles maybe. All in Sport but that seems horrible! Making me second guess getting a 435 - I can't fill it up 3x per week.

That was probably due to XDrive. Not very good mileage

2016 340i xDrive sitting at 23.7.

My old car was an 08 135i and it always hovered around 19.2. Considering this is a bigger car it's impressive that the MPG is up 4.5. That being said I drive so little it doesn't really matter. My 135i has just under 30k miles after 8 years of ownership. I filled it up maybe every 3-4 weeks. The 340i has a bigger tank and higher MPG so I'm filling it even less.

Previous car, 2012 328i I got 24-25 mpg mix of 75% city and 25% highway. Drove in comfort/sport mode 50/50.

Current car is 2014 428i, getting 21.7 mpg - all city driving in mostly comfort mode. I wasn't expecting it to decrease from 328.

The XDrive compromises mileage always. More so if you drive harder. Eco pro may get you there but I don't consider that mode suitable to drive in
