How do you guys cope with wheel hop? I don't normally dump the clutch on my car........ Usually because u end up smelling clutch due to stock clutch and e85 powaaaahhhh. However the wheel hop is really aggravating if I'm on a road with any kind of grip. Any advice other than the obvious....

Aside from a differential lock down kit (available on the E9x chassis), you can start with upgrading the shocks.

It really depends on what is primarily causing the wheel hop but there is plenty of slop in the F3x chassis, between sub frame bushings, suspensions bushings, ETC ETC

I got one...If you would have read my post thoroughly then you would have seen that I don't normally dump my clutch smh. I don't stop light drag anything. I went to the drag strip and got stupid wheel hop with no burnout and waterbox wet tires. I run 255/35/19's BFG G Force.

Not 100% sure on that one I would need to research it.

I was planning on getting the shockware if I can manage it

Were you able to resolve your wheel hop issue with a LSD and suspension modifications?

Same issue here. If I dump the clutch it'll just light the tires up instantly. If I slip it a bit I get wheel hop. Running MPSS 275 on the rears with stock clutch.

FBO with E85 here also.

FYI I just saw a diff lock down kit for f chassis on the n54tech FS forum today. Didn't look too much into which f chassis it fits though. Was $150 I believe.

Lots of power and open diff sounds like the problem. Am sure you know you need a limited slip to help get power to the ground.

Same problem here. I thought it was my tires but it sounds like even with topline tires it's happening. I'm FBO/E85

Unfortunately I don't have an LSD aggravatingly enough. I feel like the M Sports should come with an LSD stock and have the option to remove it if the buyer wanted as a no charge option from the factory.

Agree the Ltd Slip Diff should have been std, or at least an option you can check off when ordering the car. Had wheel hop with open diff in the 2014 435i. So.... just had the M LSD installed and it is easy to feel the difference. Am still breaking it in (for a total of 500 miles) so am not getting too aggressive, yet can easily feel the improvement. The car rotates MUCH better in the twisties and putting power down is far easier with no wheel hop. With the LSD it is easier to have the car 'properly' oversteer rather than hop.

You really need the Ltd Slip Diff when you start making some good power and drive the car.

JMHO YMMV
