I wonder how a new 2 series would do against the old 325i?

The e30 wagon would look soooo good with e30 m3 fenders and those typical Alpina 80s wheels...

Slightly embarrassing to think that had it been a 340i wagon, it might have lost...

My first BMW was a 87' 2 door Dolphingrey 325i. Since then i've had 14 more BMW. I need a LCI 88' 325i sometime.

Not if they used the same tires.

I like the E30, had one for a short while, and tried to find a clean sedan on a budget - no such thing anymore. A nice Euro spec wagon costs $15-25k federalized, depending on the original purchase price.

Not a cheap car to buy and own anymore, so I went with a 2004 Z4 instead - faster and more exhilarating, and cheaper.

I would love to see what a good set of coilovers, like the Bilstein damptronic EDC plug and play coils (not available yet in US) and some R compound tires would do to the 340i time!

It would outperform it in almost every measurable way and be exponentially less reliable and more costly to maintain, especially after the warranty period has expired.
