JB4 Auto Clearing Keeps Turning Off

JB4 Stage 2 on my 2015 435i. Eversince I installed the EWG Harness and updated to the latest firmware, my CEL comes on for the downpipes every 10-15 miles. On the instrumental settings, the 4th setting for the Auto Clear is set to off after I set it on. I have the bluetooth connection as well and only code is downpipe detected.

Anyone else with this issue?

Unfortunately not with JB4 anymore. There are other options such as BM3 or other flashes that will remove the CEL.

Yes, it both removes the CEL and puts the DME in emissions readiness.

As mentioned above this feature has been removed in the latest firmwares due to BMS's plans to get the JB4s 50-state emissions legal.

It also does not clear CEL for other items associated with JB4 other than catless DP. I get a CEL from throttle valve opening angle pressure (tuner code) and BOV plausibility (tuner code). Hello BM3 soon!

I e-mailed VRSF directly, they replied it works. Doubtful that they would sell a product that is listed for a chassis, that doesn't work. The f30 N55 DME is pretty much the same as the E92/E82 N55.

I also use an older firmware of JB4 and don't have any CEL issues.

The DME are similar between the N55?s but the issue I have seen is the newer MEVD dme. I know the are a 74 cat sim will not work on any s55 and on 2015+ MY N55. I tried using my plug and play sim on a 2015 and it would not work but it works perfect on 2014 and down.

So assuming the VRSF uses and it interprets same signals this is something no note.

I use the V3.2 iOS sim

No idea besides the older ones came with a green light and the new ones have a blue one.

Are you MY 2015?

It wouldn?t work on a 2015 I tried.
