Vettel can only blame himself for the incident today.

Congrats to Max, dominating win. Lewis gets his 4th...hammer time.

Great win for Max

Well deserved WCD for Lewis.
And I'm pretty sure Lewis will be the boss for a few more years before a new era will begin; the Verstappen years of domination.

It somehow just feels like the early nineties when Schumacher took control after the Prost-Senna era.

Congrats to LH. I don't remember, but did SV get as much attention when he won his 4th WDC?

The Red Bull Renault engine is improved , it was about time...

Think MAX showed the improvement, and more will come !

Racing incident. The only blame Vettel can take is for not getting the best start of the three -- and even that's a stretch. It's a long way to Turn 1 on that track.

Meanwhile Bottas played it very well!

But overall Renault PU was unreliable, four out of five retirements were renault powered. One RBR, two Renault, one STR.

... Eh, really would've like the championship fight to have gone at least a couple more races. Although with the reliability of the Merc's this year, it's hard not to imagine that Ham wouldn't have taken the championship anyway, but still kinda anti-climatic.

The rest of the season is likely to be a bit ho-hum ... the only story lines left are Williams and the reliability of the Renault pu's.

Yes it was a racing incident, but it is still his fault he destroyed his wing on Lewis’s tire. Lewis gave him plenty of room. Vettel had the pace to re-pass Lewis, if he would calm down in situations like that. He hit Max’s rear right tire as well. But that was unavoidable, Max sort of chopped across him.

I agree that tensions were high but not that Vettel could have avoided contact. Hamilton had position but he was on marbles; probably wasn't able to accelerate as quickly as Vettel who was on the clean line. And Vettel was sawing away at the wheel which indicates to me that he was on the edge of traction on the front tires. Maybe a computer could have reacted quickly enough to avoid contact, but not a human.

Vettel’s Front wing was damaged after contact with Max’s car, not Hamilton’s. What is evident from the video is that even though Bottas was not close to Vettel on his right, he SV, sharply turned his car to the left at which time his damaged front wing; (razor sharp carbon fibre) conveniently punctured LV’s RR tyre. This even though LV was almost a complete car length ahead of Vettel.

Typical dirty driving on SV’s part, much like his hero MS.

The RB Renault had actually an improvement with more HP already +/- 3 months ago .
But in the Renault test runs the engine blew by overheating (cooling issues)
Meanwhile...what we saw from MAX in the last 2 races . It seems Renault fixed the cooling issues.
At least let us hope

Note: MAX was 7 races out in this season by engine problems .

1) Who the hell is LV? Was Louis Vuitton in the race?

2) Dirty driving can only be claimed if one uses tactics to ruin another driver's car, while keeping your's intact. If you ruin your own car, that's just stupid driving.

3) This is the 2nd time Vettel threw away his entire race from the start, by being unnecessarily overaggressive. This is really what cost him a chance at the WC.
