Certainly better than the GLA but not quite a Macan competitor

It's not even in the same World as Porsche, and the GLA45 will eat it for lunch.

We know nothing about the x2 m and whether it'll play against a gla45

Right, hoping I won't see many galvanic gold or dark olive colors on the road. I think mineral gray, black sapphire, and Mediterranean blue will look pretty good

X2M?

Now that's funny!

Mercedes will still crush them.

I think it's a given that it'll happen. It too will be 300 or more hp. I remember because I was initially excited it'd have an inline 6 but it'll be a boosted 4 like the Merc.

I'd forecast the cars will be pretty comparable. Assuming of course the X2 / M comes to fruition but I've seen elsewhere on this board, with a seemingly reliable source, that it will be.

We know the one and only thing that matters: there will be no X2 M. The lineup will be topped off late next year by the X2 M35i with the new ~300hp B48.

For the second generation GLA, Mercedes is planning to add a new AMG-lite model below the GLA45 which will compete directly with BMW's X2 M35i. Audi is expected to add a ~300hp S Q3 for the next generation of their small SUV as well. They will also have a second generation RS Q3, and both it and the GLA45 will output 400hp+ and handily outperform their siblings sitting below. BMW will unfortunately be left out of that party.

I don't know much about X2 class but it seems to be even smaller than Macan-class.

If Porsche happens to create a Macan Jr., that will be comparable.

Has no one driven a GLA45? What a turd. Nearly no suspension travel, the transmission is comically bad and the motor is a mess unless it's floored. They also rattle like a ten year old convertible and have cheaper plastics than even a Mini derived BMW.

In no way am I saying that if an X2 M existed it would be any less stupid, but let's not pretend like the Mercedes is awesome and has revolutionized the awd soccer mom community.

Especially for a launch colour.

BMW is trying to capture the Lexus crowd with this one...

Seems like a fun car nonetheless

Hopefully they get rid of the "minivan" feel the x1 interior has.

It's fast as stink, makes a great daily in any weather conditions especially with winters.

Love to see Bimmer make a 4 banger anywhere close to what Mercedes does.

Nothing an STI, Focus RS or Golf R doesn't do better, but yeah.

I am not driving a Ford a Subaru or a VW.

If I had to choose I'd probably go for the Ford and I'm not a Ford guy nor do I ever plan to be.
