So a little back story:

I was trying to buy his MPE and got in contact with him, deal was made so I sent him a $350 deposit thru Quickpay. Since I was sending a friend down in socal to pick up for me, I told him I would pay the rest as soon as my friend gets it and dude was cool and willing to accommodate. Long story short, I thought everything went smoothly, well little did I know, right when they were supposed to meetup, I found out my boi had already blocked me on all communication platforms. And thats when I knew I got screwed in the ass.
My prediction is dude probably double dipped, sold the exhaust to someone else and took my deposit.

But here comes the interesting part:

when I was still able to get a hold of him, dude actually gave me his home address, phone#, email address, bank and using that info I was even able to find his full first and last name.
Anyhow, I am just debating if I should file a police report since I literally have every single bit of his info?

And finally the lesson learned here is if you tryna scam someone, dont send the victim your address, phone#, email and which bank you use bro

P.S. Hey James AKA lazyme4evr, in case you are reading this, you look real good in that pic! And I just wanna let you know that if I can afford to drive a 50k car I can afford losing $350, unlike you. Just remember karma is always a bitch and I hope you get whats coming for you!

This is why I never send stuff in advance online all my deals is we meet at a mall or public location I see the product and then hand over the cash.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. :/ as others have said. Always paypal services so you're protected. Don't even do it through family and friends. You won't be protected on that. Pay the extra couple percent and feel at ease. File a report. Might as well since you got all the info.

I think you need to let this play out a little more before going public. I don't know if you should file a police report. I know what I would do but since my plan wouldn't involve social media it probably wouldn't be advice you'd act on.

Have to admit if it were me I’d file a police report. I got scammed many years ago for only the equiv of around $40 and I filed a report just to make the scumbags life as difficult as possible. The other thing is if he has done this to other people then the reports may combine and be enough for the police to act on. I eventually got an apology letter and my money back.

Always file Police report. Years ago Mom coming home at night, car made L turn in front and she hit it, pulled over and assumed other driver did same. He didn't. Asked Mom if she reported, she said no because all she was sure of was that it was a car, no color, make or model known. Had her call and 45 min later police showed up with driver's info and Insurance. Shaken up kid had pulled into a city park a few blocks from accident scene, cop had spoke with kid and remembered fresh damage to car and when report was broadcast he put 2 + 2 together, went to kids house and got kid to admit what had happened. ALWAYS report, you never know what will happen.

Certainly didn’t when a Dr office Assistant copied my credit card number while paying for office visit and went on to buy her son Air Jordan’s on eBay.

click on all these links where he is selling part and report in itrader a negative transaction. With a -7 in itrader, that should stop most future buyers.

Look for itrader rating on forum to give you a level of confidence who you are dealing with.
