Probably missed this on earlier threads but which suspension setup is this car going with? I take it they ditched the macpherson's and going with the new suspensions of the 7 and 5er?

Has anynone noticed that changing out the kidney grills to black might be a huge pain in the ass on the F30?

E90 LCI is a much better looking car. I keep looking and looking at pictures of the new 3 and it's looks just isn't growing on me.

Last year when shopping for new car I really wanted to wait for the new 3 or the 1m and I have to say I'm glad I didn't wait for the 3 but I still punch my self every morning in the face for not waiting for the 1m. The punches keeps coming!

Can't wait to test drive that turbo-4! It's a good looking car and like most, will definitely be better in person.

Wow. Well at least the head lights are left alone, and thank God for that.

Now it just needs painted reflector, and the front will be bitchin!

Rims

Ya I am not a big fan of the rims at all. I do like the sport rims. The rims I would probably put on a new one would be aftermarket m6 rims.

I really like the styling a lot. Can't edit to buy the 2nd year of this new model. BMW will undoubtedly tweak it a little based on customer complaints and perhaps ad and option or two more in the 2nd year of production in an effort to make the perfect 3 series or just the best 3aeries to date.

when you think of the same level competitors, a4 and c-classe...there is no way the majority would buy the audi or the merc. this looks as light as an a4 and ten times more classy then the merc. This is gonna destroy the market and BMW is gonna make sooo much money that all of your dreams will come true: the 4 series, the supercar from the M-division even a frickin space shuttle...wish i could buy some bmw stock in the us, there are some hedge funds that hold it but i dont have the money for them to accept me. good job BMW

Whenever I'm back in Canada or the US, the red turn signals seem shocking.

At best they are just ugly. At worst, on some cars, they seem a little more dangerous as the same light starts blinking to turn.

I've read that it is due to a market perception in north America that feels amber turn signals are associated with cheap import cars. Might have been true in the past. Still true now?

I'll definitely wait to see the car in person, but from the pictures, the exterior isn't better than the e90 LCI.

I dont like how the headlights, & the grilles are now too low to the ground, making the roof looks too tall, looking like an SUV from distance.

Maybe the techs like HUD, safety lane change, new turbos, & a fix of HPFP are worth of a trade-in.
I test drove the Mercedes C200 CGI. It's a 4-cylinder turbo. It pulls almost as good as my 325i i6
So, no doubt the new BMW i4 + turbos will pulls even BETTER.

Can't wait to see it in person & test drive it, & hope it will change my mind.
So far, the F30 is not impressive at all.

Is anyone bothered by the limited selection of interior colors depending on the "line" that you choose? I don't like how black interior can only come with a Luxury line or the Sport line, but with the Sport line, you MUST have the red inserts in the seats.

My perfect combo would be the Sport line without the tacky red trim or the Modern line with black interior... I don't want to be relegated to buying the Luxury line just for black seats.

Thoughts?

As much as I tried to force myself to like the new design, it's still not as visually appealing like the e46 or e90 lci. The gap near the grill makes the car look like it's incomplete. The designer was trying to create a 3d effect with the grill and it's just not working for me. I like the angel eye halo redesign where the top and bottom are squared out. I don't like the part where it headlight meets the grill. This is the reason why I ended up getting the 535i M-Sport 2 days ago.
