2013 335xi m sport - alpine white

Hi,

A good friend of mine referred me to this forum for some tips/info as I recently purchased an F30 335xi with an M Sport package.

Been browsing past few days and it's definitely been a good resource --- especially for someone (father of 2) who's driven crossovers/SUVs the past 9 years.

For some reason, just felt the itch to buy a 2nd FUN car for the family (translation: ME). Found a CPO with the specs I wanted (at a decent price) so just went for it ---

2013 BMW 335xi
Alpine White
Black Dakota Leather
19" 403M
M Sport Package | Premium Package | Cold Weather Package | Navi | HK Sound System | Sport Automatic Trans with Shift Paddles

Looking forward to getting tips/insight from you guys and enjoying this badboy even more!

-Nick

looks nice and clean!

the good: you're going to have lots of fun with this car

the bad: in order to fully enjoy "the good", you're gonna be finding yourself addicted to this place in search of countless modifications = $$$

but hey, after a nice drop/tune & exterior mods...you're gonna feel even better

welcome

These forums and the 'itch' you referred to is a dangerous. Once the mod bug hits you'll end up spending $$$. Good luck and welcome

Thanks all!

Yup, I've been forewarned on future mods... Once you start, it's one after another.

Might just have to check here more often for emotional support... Or encouragement for that matter. Ha!

Hi,

Thinking about dropping my F30 just a little bit -- most likely just changing the springs. Seems like H&R and Dinan are popular ones here on the forums.

Any thoughts? Reviews? Recommendations?

Here's the current stance of my stock 335xi M Sport:

I have an Xdrive as well and am getting it lowered this weekend using h&r springs. Will take some photos and share it with you so you can see the difference.

Looks great! Do you have a link to more pics?
How long have you had the springs for? I'm debating whether to get the H&R sport springs or Dinans...

Go dinan. H&R is too aggressive.

I have H&R s installed, I deff need to install shocks as well, its too bouncy on high speeds. do both springs and shocks at once. Also put that badge back on!!!!!

Installing shocks wouldn't hurt... But just having the springs installed really isn't that bad... It's definitely stiffer. Just be a little more mindful of rough patches on the road and you'll be fine...

Oh and leave the badges off.

De-badge..... Never Re-badge.

Thanks for the suggestions. Seems like H&R sport springs are the most popular.

Itrocks4u mentioned Dinan springs are less aggressive, which I wouldn't mind. Anyone use Dinan? I'm based in NJ/NY btw where the roads aren't the best.
