Badge Designation Deletion
Possible in the US? Widely used in Europe to remove the model badges in the rear, e.g. 328i. Gives a cleaner look...

Not an option for the US but you can easily remove the rear badge.
Thankfully however we will not be getting the "lines" designation in the US on the side (luxury, modern, sport)

yes, its an option. Naturally I dont know the code. I ordered an E90 and an E82 through military sales (which means the car is built to specification) and I ordered this no cost option both times.

What's the reasoning behind badge deletion, because I don't get it. Is it so others think you've got a higher line than what you have if you have a base model. OR is it if you have a high line model and don't feel you need to brag about it OR is it to keep everyone guessing or trying to work out which model you have from other visual cues.

When I asked my CA, he simply said it was not possible in the US unless I would get some floss lol

My car is built and on the ship. does anyone know, can the dealer remove the line badge or is it something they need to do at the factory?

The only badge I don't like is the "line" designation.
I wouldn't want the rear badges removed. The side line badges look like a Ford or Chevy type thing. My order shows "deletion", and I think that's standard in the US. |

It is an option, you just have to do a little work to order it
