Cool H&R Releases Lowering Springs for F30 328i and 335i

BIMMERPOST NEWS
H&R Releases Lowering Springs for F30 328i and 335i

COMMENTS

With the 3 series traditionally having the largest aftermarket support of any BMW model, it usually doesn't take long for the first aftermarket parts to become available. And one of the first parts are usually suspension components.

H&R has now released its F30 springs application for the 2012 328i and 335i sedan. The lowering springs come in two varieties -- Sport Spring and Super Sport Spring, with the latter being a more aggressive lowering.

The H&R Sport Springs (Part #28878-2) lower the F30 by 1.2" front and 1.2" rear.
The H&R Super Sport Springs (Part #28877-2) lower the F30 by 1.75" front and 1.6" rear.

Retail MSRP is $389.00 for both sets.

H&R also makes a whole catalog of wheel spacers for the F30 and BMWs, in many sizes - 6mm, 10mm, 20mm, 24mm, 26mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm.

Here is a preview image by H&R of their F30 lowering springs (F30 lowered on Breyton GTS wheels).

In any case, good on em' for getting this done so quickly.

Agreed, but this is just a "preview image" so I can cut them some slack.

So wait a second, i can spend less than 400 bucks and lower my car an inch and improve handling? holy shit!

I wasnt planning on doing any mods, but now i want to lol

first it was trying out some led drl's, some tint, maybe some springs now

You're going to want to match them with some dampers if you do that. Otherwise you'll probably (definitely) wear out your dampers prematurely.

+1

AND install is never that cheap, so factor that into the cost as well.

dampers? lol, im clueless when it comes to this shit...how much do damper usually cost(and what do they do)? Its a lease so i figured 400 bucks, lowered car, and increased handling would be cool, i guess it would cost more.

^and yea, just thought about installation, its getting more expensive by the moment

Well I am at 65000 miles with the original ones (lowered suspension).

Very happy to see another F30 concern taken care of (it needs it).

my roommate bought eibach springs to lower his 650i for 300$. He found out afterward that it was $800-1000 to get them installed....

so they're still sitting in his room.

I am little confused about someone who has a 650i, but cannot afford a $1300 mod...

Hahahahaha was just thinking the same thing.

On a 3series though depending on your location it shouldn't cost more then $350-450 to install. Well worth the price when you add dampers(shocks) which are about $600. To the above guy, just get a pro kit of sprins & shocks, approx. $800-900 and the install and you'll have a sexy lowered nimble machine. Well worth it IMO.

+1, and maybe get a quote from a reputable shop on install before you buy, also be careful if you have large rims because rubbing of the tires can occur (do a search on lowering and rubbing before starting)
