Garage List
I don't know.. the picture looks a bit odd.. I'm guessing it would've been looking better if they used a Sports line with a different color such as Alpine white or Melbourne red or something more sporty. For some reason it just looks wrong with this color.

Lowering Springs IMO is just a cheap way to lower your car and does nothing for performance - car may feel more stable because it's lower, but the stock shocks/stuts must be replaced too! IMO - invest the money for a nice set of coilovers. I installed lower springs in my 2010 WRX and ended up replacing with coilovers because all it did was lower my car 1.4 inches, but drove like crap especially when you hit a bump during a high speed corner - actually felt unstable!

whats the difference between springs, dampers, and coilovers?

I know there's always a big market for springs, but I'm a coilover guy myself. I'm sure those will be coming soon.

spring (obvious)
damper = shock
coilover = matched spring and shock combo, typically with height adjustment and often damper adjustment as well

On a 3series though depending on your location it shouldn't cost more then $350-450 to install. Well worth the price when you add dampers(shocks) which are about $600. To the above guy, just get a pro kit of sprins & shocks, approx. $800-900 and the install and you'll have a sexy lowered nimble machine. Well worth it IMO.
does it really improve handling?

He has less than 1 grand to his name now, so he doesnt want to spend every last dime lowering his car. That money's going to more important things, like spring break lol

Only if H&R also come out with replacement struts and shocks valved correctly to handle the rates and lowering of these springs, then we have a winner!

Replacing the oem springs with these only is just bad news for vehicle handling and dynamics.

The stock front strut and coil spring over strut combo can also be called a coilover as well, but without the height and damping adjustments.

Good to know, but you'd think H&R can do better then a Photoshop to build up hype.

Neuspeed did a better job before H&R took over the US market.

If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready!

Will wait for the real photo!
