Is there a MUTE button on the steering wheel by chance? My current car has that and when muted-it automatically pauses the iPod/MP# song playing--Its a great feature to have--especially when someone calls via bluetooth.
No there is no mute button on the steering as I miss it too coming from the gti. There is no need to pause when a call comes in tho it will do that for you.

you can send address destinations from google maps on ur pc or laptop to ur car idrive.

once u google map ur destination, click on the red dropped pin on the map, it will open a destination information box, click on "more", then send, then click on to "car", select bmw, then enter ur email address associated with ur bmw assist account then click send.

now in ur car, open messages and u will find the destination info so u can nav to or call.

You need BMW assist. It uses your BMW assist login info to gain access.

If you try to go in reverse while the door is open, you know when you're backing a little on your driveway with one leg on the ground and the other on the gas? Car won't let you, sounds a beep and forces transmission to P. Pretty cool and annoying at the same time.

How do you find the email address associated with the car?

Found it. Google send option uses the email account you used to setup assist.
You have to tell it what cak make you have so it knows to go through the BMW system.

I love the send to car through Google. I spam my buddy's F25 X3 with destinations at least a couple times a week. haha

I know payback will be a pain in the rear though as soon as I get mine.

The comfort access does not work if I'm holding my cell phone next to the door handle or if I'm holding the key fob next to my cell phone. I have to keep my cell phone at a distance for it to work.

Thats strange, have comfort access on mine.
Always have the key fob in the same trouser pocket as my mobile phone and it always works (unlocks) when I pull on the door handle.

Shifting the lever to the left (automatic) puts you in sport mode, then from the left position if you shift up that puts you in manual. Both of these modes should bypass auto/stop.

Regarding the roof, if you press "up," one click, the roof goes slightly ajar for ventilation. If you press backwards and "hold," once it will open all the way. Reverse to close, both "one" click.
Shifting the Gear knob doesn't put the car into full Sport mode, only the transmission. To engage full sport mode you have to select sport with the drivers expereince button. Things the full sport mode does that the sport setting on the tranmission doesn't do include: tighening the steering whele, making suspension firmer, and making the gas peddle more responsive. Using the transmission "sport" mode just adjusts the rpm and shifting points of the transmission. Good for when you need a spurt of power to get up a hill or pass someone but not the whole kit and kaboodle.

I have it in my current car. I also ordered it with my F30. If you are always in city auto beam isn`t needed. If you are driving to remote areas where the roads are not lighted and you always have great chance of having a deer jump on the road, auto high beams are cool feature.

If you dont have the auto high beam you have 3 choices.
1. Leave high beams on and disturb everyone on the road
2. Leave high beams off and hit a deer
3. Keep your hand on the switch during the trip, do on/off every minute.

For sure It is not a must but I think it becomes handy sometimes.
