Black Grills installed on my BSM 328i

I normally don't do bling (show w/ no go), but the chrome sides on the factory grills really bothered me. So, I ordered up the Black "Performance Grills." For some reason the local warehouse only had one side in stock, so I had to wait 2 days to get them and they finally arrived today.

They were not as easy to install as some would have you believe. So, I had the dealer assist me with the install. It was the first one that they've done, so you can imagine it took them a little bit of extra time as they didn't want to damage the bumper which seems super easy to do if you're not careful. I think in total it took less than 30 minutes to do.

A few quick iPhone pics attached. Maybe after the rain lets up tonight, I'll wash it down and take some real pics.

Big thanks to Romando in the service drive at Peter Pan BMW for volunteering to install this for me with super care.

are you guys worried about the plastic becoming cloudy/foggy in ~5 years? it's the only thing bothering me about my halogens..

blacked-out grilles look great! thanks for posting pics.. i've been deciding whether i want to do it on my bsm too.

btw, is that the base model? i don't see any chrome/silver above the front air dam, unless you blacked those out too. in which case, smoove moove.

But you pay extra for installation. So it's more than $140. I'd suggest doing what he did, order the grills and ask the dealer to 'voluntarily' help out...

I'll be doing the same as soon as my car arrives..

Thanx man. This is what I was looking for. I'm planning to buy them for my BSM F30 too.

Don't you have more pics less close, please?

Cheers

that looks awesome!! Huge improvement over stock esp with BSM color. Def $140 very well spent. This has a bigger impact than for the e90.
