It works remarkably well if I lift the foot high enough for the kick retract action.

It works great for me, but my Boot-Do is strong. I get a kick (pun intended) of showing my friends how to do it, and it's never taken them more than two swings when I show them how.

Works 1/10 times for me. I even know exactly where the sensor is (laid on the floor and looked up at it).
Literally, 1 out of 10 times. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Tried fast kicking, slower, move of a wave motion.. Really quite annoyed I wasted my cash on it tbh! ![]() Quote:
Will try this.. PS, when it DOES work, it literally takes 3-4 full seconds to open the boot. So you have to kinda as well. Meh.

Is there a software update I can get to fix this? I cannot get this to work consistently and I tried every method above. I did find the dead center swift in and out kick to work but then after I open the trunk with the kick, close it to try to again, for practice, it won't open until 10 of the same kicks later. It's pretty darn frustrating. Was at Costco the other day carrying loads of things and thought what a great feature to use when my hands were full. I did swift in and out kick and just ended up looking like a tool and had to eventually drop my groceries to free up my hand to press the trunk button.
I read somewhere in another forum that a software update fixes this?? Not sure tho. |

It works about 80% of the time. Seems like there is a delayed response... kind of like your computer processing information under heavy load - applications open but they take long time to respond...

Does anybody else feel like an idiot when you're in a public parking lot, try to do it (especially when your hands are free) and it doesn't work, so you just end up opening with your hand anyways?!
It works most of the time for me, I'd say close to 90% and when I do it, especially when my hands are free, my friends call me a douche! |

It works for me 99% of the time. But that 1% is always when people are standing there watching. Because I have comfort access I pretty much never use my key fob. It sits in my pocket in a case. So this 1% is even worse because I have to pull the fob out, then look at which button it is. |

I find that if I aim my left foot just to the left of the license plate (in Europe & Hong Kong, I would say aim for the first two digits on the license plate), it works every time.
If people are around, it helps to sing loudly and act like your dancing. You won't seem like so much of a douche. ![]() ![]() |

I just read the manual and did it exactly as described, making sure to bring my foot back swiftly. After a few practice attempts, I got it working every time. Standing the right distance away from the trunk helps too.
