Afe Tuner on leased car?

Hello F30posters,

I was curious to know if the Afe Scorcher tuner leaves any codes, traceable to the engine on a leased car? Anyone with experience?

I'm not sure about afe, but I imagine it'll be fine. I have a juice box on my f30 and x5 diesel. I always unplug it before taking it to the dealership and they are yet to say anything.

You may be right and it may be an isolated case. Op was asking about experience and that is what I have seen

I have since then been researching JB4 and have yet to find anything to say it will leave codes after removal, I was first going for AFE due to ease of install and removal vs JB4

Having said that I am still on the fence between JB4 and hartge which is much more expensive.

Difficult choices.

aFe Scorcher is a very solid tune. We have sold many and no complaints whatsoever.
I can't speak on behalf of aFe but if a customer is having any problems, we would be working with him very closely until problem is solved.
This is one the main advantages why customers should be buying from vendors instead of manufacturers.
Smaller companies are usually easier to reach and would have a faster response time than a big company that has to deal with a hundred customer a day.
The JB4 is an A+ product too.
