This too is one of the 6 CAFD files in 47.1 and orphaned in 47.4. I have sent you a PM for your problem.

Hello All, New on board looking for the links as well.
Anyone here ever code vagcom (audi/VW) or durametric (porsche).
The f series coding seems a little more complex?
or is it just me?

I can't PM you as you don't have enough posts yet. So, either wait until your PM count is up or post your email.

Updated F30 cheatsheet anyone?

Could someone post an updated list with all the variables, their permissible values and effect like the f30 cheatsheet pdf from June 2012 (first post in the thread)

Greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I am about to order a f30 330d Msport with the following extras but am now wondering if some of the functions are on the car as standard but are locked out, i.e. with a bit of coding possibly I can get some of the options I want without actually having to order them from the dealer?

Professional Media Pack,
Exterior folding and auto dimming mirrors (I want the auto dipping function when the car is put in reverse),
Full Internet,
DAB.

(There are various other options I am going to get but alas I already realise there is little that coding can do to make the wheels grow from 18" to 19")!

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

There is required hardware for the Dimming / Folding Mirrors and DAB, that without it, you will not be able to code it.

Internet over Bluetooth can most likely be coded, so long as you have a Combox (e.g. 6NK or 6NL Bluetooth Option).

I am also going to post on its own thread... but...

Is anyone with a F10 having problems with iPhone/iPod connectivity? Whether it's my iPhone 5 or an iPod Nano, my car only sporadically connects to the device. Maybe 1 day out of every 5.

I've posted a thread here if anyone has any input:

Many thanks. I have paid the deposit now and have included the Internet option, hopefully it will be worth having!

Well, after spending months figuring out how to to code BMW Live and Internet over Bluetooth, after I finally got it working, I turned it all back off due to the following:
  1. No Internet-In-Motion
  2. Speed - One, I am on a Verizon 3G Corporate Blackberry as they do not offer a 4G Blackberry. Two, the CPU in the CIC is just plain slow. Maybe with a 4G phone and the new upgraded HU_NBT Head Unit, the speed will be better.
  3. Browser - The CIC uses some flavor of Firefox 3.5, and there is no support for Flash, Java, or Silverlight, etc. (e.g. No NFL.com football game animation )
  4. Input - iDrive Controller scrolling through the alphabet one character at a time to enter URL's or fill in User Name or Password fields is painful.
  5. Loosing Google - Send-To functionality, which is part of BMW Assist.

Frankly, IMHO, it sucks. :

Several pages back demge01 managed to do it on his non-nav 6NH car (UK-spec). If u have 6NK (combox media) & no-nav then it should be the same process, provided BMW Live is offered as an option by BMW NL.

For my car with Combox:

Change VO as follows:

- 639 (or 633 or 612 if present)
+ 644
+ 614
+ 615 (Required but already present)
+ 6AL
+ 6AB (Required but already present)

VO CODE HU_CIC
VO CODE CMB_MEDIA

FDL CODE CMB_MEDIA:
- TELEMATIK_VIN = Coding_VIN

FDL CODE CMB_MEDIA:
Use modified VO with VIN that has factory options 614 and 615 as explained in my post here:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...5&postcount=45

Read CMB_MEDIA and verify Short VIN in brackets [xxxxxxx] is FAKE VIN.

*** Use only to FDL Code CMB_MEDIA; DO NOT write this FA to the Car

1) Enable Data Transfer Option Under Phone
2) Enable Bluetooth Data Tethering on Phone
3) Under Connected drive; Update services (should show BMW Live and Internet services)
4) Go to BMW Live and Internet and make sure it it working

After it is working, use original VO with car VIN:

FDL CODE CMB_MEDIA:
- TELEMATIK_VIN = MOST_VIN

Read CMB_MEDIA and verify Short VIN in brackets [xxxxxxx] is REAL VIN.

DO NOT update services again or you will loose BMW Live and Internet.

*** If you do not return the Combox VIN to car VIN, you will encounter problems with future dealer programming, as the Combox will not be recognized, and programming will hault.

Thanks shawnsheridan.
This procedure makes me think that the car connects to a bmw server with an incorrect VIN. This would make it illegal?
Can you confirm the car connects to bmw servers?
