I did the conversion in my fog lights. You gotta be real careful on which kit you buy. Some of them use inferior LEDs. For me, its CREE or forget it. And some are very dim. Halogens produce about 1500 Lumens per pair. HIDs produce 3200. The kit I put in puts out 2500 Lm, which I thought was good enough. That price is ridiculous. I paid $60US for my kit on eBay.

Heres a pic. Sorry, but my iPhone could not take this pic without massive glare. Headlights are stock HID, fogs are LED.

Why not just replace the stock Halogen fogs with OEM F32 LED fogs? They are around $300 from ECS Tuning. Color is a spot on match for OEM LED AE's.

so 300 for the fog lights then I still have to upgrade the stock low beams with an led kit like the one from oracle,
and then get my car coded

They're $366.26 plus shipping from ECS, plus are dimmer than some aftermarket LED conversions that cost a sixth as much. Don't make much sense.

What BMWs were those? The F-series are much more likely to throw errors and need coding than the E-series. The computers are very sensitive.
