what is this hk box

hey guys I have the crap- o- le- a, basic stereo 6 speaker system in my car, I was putting in the back up camera today and noticed this hk telematics box, what is it for? I don't think its a amp or processor? This is the sub box going in that cool good for nothing rectangle opening in the back. a Hertz dvc 10. ported.

That is a Combox; it says so in its label. Plenty of documentation in the forum.

Sorry...a little off topic but is there a guide on how to remove the trim from the boot of the car (specifically an F31 for me).

It's an absolute PITFA to remove the small amount of trim I've done so far and I was hoping for a picture guide to do it completely!

Very nice approach for the sub box
Would you please provide some more photos and maybe how you manage t ofit a 10 inch sub in that storage compartment. I measured that that space only allows an or two 8 inches.
I am thinking to do the same, but not a fiber glass box, but a MDF box. I have never done any fiber glass and it seems to be out of my zone

once the sub comes in I will update the build process, lots of room for a ten, even a 12. airspace is the issue only .65cubic feet.

It is totally a pain in the ass. Getting it back in is even more fun. Pull out ALL the plastic rivets and be sure you get them all. Unscrew the anchor points. The toughest part is around the arms that attach to the lid. You'll get it off around those points fairly easily....but when you're trying to get to fit around them it seems like it doesn't even fit.
