CF roof project at LTMW

Decided to get OEM m3 carbon roof on my f30.
I had to pick Ltmw because I know LTMW will make this thing flawless. we all know that once you have bad roof job done your car, it will stay there forever.
Here's some pictures in progress on day 1

I wasn't able to weight..but found out that our roof isn't aluminum, the guy who was doing roof job was able to pick it up with magnet.

Same thing goes for our hood, they both were metal steel. The glass should be around 40-50lbs with rails.

AWESOME! Whats LTMW? I'm looking for a GREAT BMW shop in the OC that will take care of my care. I am super OCD and am always worried about techs damaging my car cosmetically.

BTW, where did you get your Xpel installed?

LTMW is BMW Indy shop located in El Monte, CA. http://ltmotorwerks.com/
I could not find any better shop than this when it comes down to service, quality and pricing. Talk to David or Long, they will know exactly what you want and will execute that.

I got the Xpel installed from my buddy..I am not too impressed with it. It's because the film slowly turning yellow on my Alpine White paint.
You should talk to Richard at Showcar detailing. He recently started on clear film installation at their shop and he is the best when it comes to detailing.

How does the roof attach? Is it welded, glued, screwed?

Weekend update? Don't make me look up the cost of the CF M3 roof, how much was it?

Looks incredible! I'd be all over this, but I bet it was pricey
Please let us know once you have the price and find out how they do the install. Also more pics of the overall car would be great!
Did they paint the black pieces on the sides and the sharkfin?

Yes, they are painted from the old parts..I think lol!
I've been saving money by not spending on cf side mirror or vinyl, this has so much more to offer if you don't like to have sunroof like me!

That's the hard thing for me is to be without the sunroof. Planning the M3 purchase now and debating to get the sunroof or not. I want the CF roof but i have not been without a sunroof in over 20 years. I rather have the roof cracked than the side windows down. Looks great. I sure would not want to see your invoice when you pick up the car though. LOL

OP, your $$, your car. If you wanted or needed to get rid of that sunroof this is a great option.

Still curious about how the steel roof is attached and how the CF is reattached. Glue is my guess. Alcantera for the headliner?

You can recoup a small amount of $$ with the sale of the sunroof and the associated hardware.
