Aux Port setting?

Hey everyone,

Quick question, I have a 328i 2014 without the media package, so standard audio system. I have my iPod plugged into my arm rest port, one cable going into the USB and one into the Aux and it works perfectly.

I recently started listening to podcast and purchased an Aux cable that I plug right into my phone and remove the Aux part of cable from the iPod. This has been working perfectly for about 2months.

Today, It doesn't seem to pick up my Aux cable...it shows ipod connected because its still connected to the USB ( as its always been) but the Aux has the cable to my phone vs the ipod, and its not playing...I thought maybe the port is bad and plugged the ipods aux back and it works...

The screen says Aux Front and Ipod connected...any thoughts if my cable has gone bad or did I touch a setting?

Thoughts? Thank you in advance everyone.

Amir
