Sweet...got the full set of track wheels and tires now..

And just signed up for an event...although it is in October. gotta hit the track before then for sure.

I just received the SSR Comps (18X8.5) with Pilot sport cup tires (235-40-18). maybe I will go to an autocross as a warmup to get the tires heat treated.

How did you decide on 235s? I want to do the same thing but the smallest I considered was 245s. Do the 235s provide enough grip in back if you're not running r-compounds yet? I expect to go through at least one more set of street tires before I make the switch to r comps.

I was worried about fitment on the front..being lowered..so I played it a bit safe and went with the 235 size. I would have hated going to the 245 size and rubbed in front.

Are you going to shave them? I don't know if that is necessary on the Pilot Sport Cups since they come stock on some supercars.
