Check Engine Light Reading

This may be the wrong forum, but is it possible to read the check engine fault codes using ESYS? I can reset the check engine light using ESYS, but the light continues to come back on in a couple of days. Or do I need a dedicated acted OBD reader?

For a detailed diagnostic i would recommend Rheingold aka ISTA-D.

I use Carly for BMW and their Android bluetooth OBDII adapter. Fault codes are shown with understandable explanations and resets are done quickly. If you keep getting a CEL, you may want to take your car in and find out what repair is required to stop the recurring CEL.
