Weird MPG indicator?

Hey folks, hope everybody is doing well and you Northeasterners aren't having too rough of a time!

I've been noticing today, first day of the year down in the 30s, all day long, that my ride has been VERY sluggish. It actually feels like it's stuck in ECO PRO (but obviously, it isn't) and this little MPG indicator is on.

Any idea what that is?

check control light - the on board computer has detected something that needs your (or maybe your dealer's) attention - you should be able to look at the message through iDrive and see whats going on.. Given the symptom you posted, might be something you should have looked at immediately.

Gosh, I'm such a buffoon. I should have thought a little harder. Ever have one of those days were not a single thing you do makes any sense? I'm having one of those.

My washer fluid was low, which I knew, but out of sheer paranoia, I associated it with the MPG glyph that's right there as well.

What a dummy.

Thanks!

Haha I wouldn't blame you at all... It's a little bit of non-intuitive design on BMW's part to have the mpg label so close to the check control light. And no you aren't the first person to make that association. But now you know

No problem, some of us are still learning what those little things mean.

Have a good day.
