Spaced out!

If you've ever wondered what 12mm spacers will do for your F30, here is the answer. Visually it's subtle until you see a car without the spacers next to one that has them.

They couldn't be easier to install, they are fairly light weight, and the stance and handling are noticeably improved. I think spacers are a tremendous bang for the buck mod.

Bought Burger Motorsports spacers used from a forum member.

Stock

Spacers

It works and looks great.

Looking good. Which spacers did you go with? I "think" it says Burger Tuning, but not sure. More pics from a 3/4 view please.

Why does their site "*2012-2013 F30 and F31 vehicles only. 15mm+ is the smallest thickness spacer this vehicle may use in the rear. Front can fit 10mm and 12mm"?

OP says 12mm, did you go 12mm on front and back?

15mm is the minimum you can go in the rear, atleast on xdrive cars since the hub lip extends about 1mm more than non-xdrive i believe. I've tried 12mm on mine and it doesn't work. However, i've tried 5mm/10mm/12mm upfront and its fine.

I'm thinking of going 15mm rear and 12mm front. Maybe a dumb question but spacers shouldn't affect anything negatively right...I have a lease.

They're fine, just make sure you install them properly. If you don't know what you're doing, let a reputable shop do it for you.

all you have to worry about is torquing it down to the right specs and make sure the hub fits perfectly. as long as you got those 2 covered, you're fine.

**make sure you're able to do +5 full turns. if you have less, you need to get extended lugs. (not extended lug nuts but that's totally up to you)

Does not rub at all. Already done an autocross, but with different wheels and tires - 235/40-18s on 8.5 inch wide wheels square.

Had the entire family (four of us) in the car, no rubbing. Car is lowered on H&R Sport springs.

I had the Burger 12mm in the rear of my 2012 f30 335I for 3 months with no issues at all. They mounted up no problem. They sat flush on the hub and they came with the extended bolts. Torqued to 90ftlbs. There is no rocket science involved here fellas. No need to have them installed. They simply go on the hub, then the wheel goes on. Just make sure the surface of the spacer mates flush with the hub. You can see it pretty easily. I went to 15mm spacers now because I have 403m wheels now and I needed to be flush.

Looks really good. Yes, if you can take more pics that'd be great. The spacers really make a visual difference.

Twist my arm! I'll happily post more pictures of my car! It's dark out now so these aren't the best but I hope they're the angles you're looking for.
