Current coding situation

Hi guys,

Been absent for a while (yes, will respond to PM's soon), but my coding token expired the other day and, as luck would have it, a mate wants some stuff done on his X5.

Figured I'd ask here, what's the current status of buying token codes. I understand there 'free' software available now, but it sounds rather complex. Anyone gone that route, or shall I just renew my token for another year of two via tokenmaster?

I just coded mine an hour ago using ESYS 3.26 from the first post here:
http://bmwcoders.com/forum/bmw-codin...-0-patch-3170/

Note: decipher the URL at http://www.rot13.com/

and psdzdata 53.5 from here:
https://mega.co.nz/#F!kk5kFarb!GI2EFqUpmq6k_r_QZFY6mw

worked great!!

Thanks dragnet, but are you saying you didn't need a token and that it was relatively painless to install?

Disregard: "A complimentary token has been included and is valid for 20 years." Wow, someone sure killed the 'industry' in generating tokens.

Thanks for the link mate, well done!

Would you mind answering a question for me though.

It says to copy the token into Esys.

I know where to copy I just can't recall which file to copy, can you refresh my memory?

Thanks again.

After downloading the patch and token file, copy svc0x80.est to the esys folder. Launch esys and in settings under est, point it to the location of the file.

Did you manage to get the decryption key for the patch & token?

Fixed: There was a space in the link.

Can anyone recommend someone who does coding in Sydney?
I'm seriously considering getting a few things done as aftermarket options have been unsatisfactory so far!
Any help appreciated!
