Disable 37 degrees snowflake warning?

Why? How do I set up so it does not alert?

Freeze alert. So you are are of potential ice. Saw this for the first time as I took my M3 up the Alps towards Davos, Switzerland. Fitting!

I don't think you can turn it off, it's a safety feature.

Maybe I can answer the "why" part.

If you get the low temp warning, one of the thing that will cease to work is the ASS. Cold temperature is one of the parameter that will automatically turn of ASS, even if you have it "enabled."

As others have said, it's a safety feature and can't be turned off by the driver.
You may be able to turn it off through coding however.

FYI, BMW has been doing this for years. My E46 had the feature As well.

I would expect that just like everything else in the car, it is controlled by the computer and could be coded, if you could find someone to do it.

I have seen ASS work below 37. It only takes more time to be active. It never kicks in before the cabin is heated enough.

Yeah my ASS has kicked in at 20° F something out here... It just takes much longer for the load to lessen on the engine for my ASS to engage.

Haven't had mine go off yet, but on my other cars it only sounded once. Is the F30 more annoying or something?

Some people should not be allowed near these cars.

That's weird... I just got off driving about 50km (~25mi) on highway with outside temperature at about 2.5 celcius (~35 farenheit) with the heater off because I had a thick jacket on me.

Near the end of the trip i was slammed with a heavy traffic on highway. Put it into ECO mode and travelled about 3km in almost stop and go traffic. Not once did ASS activate..

Not that I want ASS to come on or anything lol.

Today it worked at 27F. Couple days ago I stopped at a traffic light after a half an hour drive. It didn`t work. It displayed the ASS icon crossed on the screen. When the icon is displayed you can see the reason on the efficient dynamics screen. It was saying system request. Your case might be this too.

ANother scenario could be you switched to eco after you stopped and due to heavy traffic you never exceed the trashold speed for ASS to activate.

Ah I think only 2013 has that ASS "no-smoking" sign on the dash. 2012 do not have this. Before when I had the 2013 320i loaner it had the ASS status symbol and I was like "COOOOL"

I was in ECO Pro but it wasn't like stop and go for 2-3mph kinda thing. I def passed the "stop-and-go" speed threshold. After my previous post on my way back home I also tried Comfort and Sport just to satiate my curiosity in varying speeds coming to a full stop. Not once did the ASS kick in.

Weird. It may have to do with a more updated ASS programming with 2013 vice 2012.
