Car and Driver Quick Review of 435i

Just thought everyone would find this interesting:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t-drive-review

The only gripe appears to be the steering feel.

Regular I-Drive

I-Drive Touch (closer to the size of the circular base in which the knob sits)

I find it interesting and extremely disappointing that BMW says the reduction of steering feel was partly intentional. Why?

For all we know, they determined that a large part of their target market thinks the steering wheel was too hard to turn in a parking lot.

Well I mean I can understand that. In all honesty the E90 did probably have a tad too hefty steering. I mean I personally liked it, but I can understand others not liking it.

However, I don't think thats the issue. I think when C&D is talking about feel they actually (and incorrectly) mean feeling the bumps in the road. While admittedly it isn't really necessary to have, it's still nice to feel. I don't get why that bothered people though. I think its just BMW trying to cover the fact that they haven't figured out how to fix it yet.
