Purchase or Pass?

I am on the fence about this upgrade since I do not have any carbon fiber in the interior.. Should I purchase carbon fiber shift knob for my f30? Will it look out of place? Looking for some opinions before I pay for it!

Get it or pass it up?

My current interior:

You have to remove the airbag and remove 2 screws below it. Remove the screw at the bottom of the steering wheel (underneath) and take the hole plastic with the silver trim out. When you buy the CF trim you receive it with the plastic around as well and you screw this piece in, put back the airbag on.

It is very simple just start removing / prying from the end behind airbag and then work your way down , do not pull just work slowly and it will remove itself

You don't have to take airbag off to remove silver trim .

My current interior:

You can either wrap in 3M Carbon fibre vinyl or Real carbon fibre trim which will cost around $1000 which is too much I think .

Everybody here wrapped their interior and they don't look out of place , In fact looks better than before

Let's us know what you decide in the end

Th carbon fiber trim you and other forums members have in your cars look amazing! However, for now I plan on keeping the rest of the trim silver for the contrast and for the fact that my car is glacier silver (I think its a nice touch). My concern is if this one piece of carbon fiber will look out of place with no other carbon fiber around it. I would not object to adding the M glass by itself and selling the carbon fiber piece if that would look better. Wish I could see it in person to decide but your opinions are greatly appreciated!

That is about the only piece I don't have in CF and I think my Gear Shift looks out of place in silver, so I will be doing it soon...

I always tell people start off small with CF if you are unsure or you just want a splash of it in your car. However, I personally like the deep wet look CF over the M performance textured CF...I think the textured looks more like vinyl than the wet CF...but everyone likes different things.

I have the M-performance CF (MT) shifter and handbrake as the only CF pieces in my car.
