9.5 vs 10?

Have an order for

F: 19 x 8.5 offset 35
R: 19 x 9.5 offset 38

Tires:
Michelin Pilot Super Sport
F: 235 x 40 x 19
R: 265 x 35 x 19

The shop just called and said they are out of the 9.5s but have a 10" with the same offset available.

Would I still be ok going .5 bigger on the back with those tires?

this is for 2013 F30 335i

Thanks!!

Won't have a problem wrapping 265 over a 10" wheel. Pretty standard. I have 255 over 9.5 now without issue.

Cool, was just worried about rub and that the rim would be wider than the tire.

Wonder if I can go any wider than 265 without rub?

Its on the M sport suspension and I have zero plans on ever lowering the car.

Thoughts???

Garage List
Your rear wheels will be to aggressive with a 19x10 38ET. It will stick out to far.

I put 19x10et38 on the rear of my car. See my posts for details. Too aggressive in my opinion.

Yea I think you need +43-+45 on a 10" wheel. I have 10" w/ +47 in the rear and it's pretty flush but I wouldn't mind a couple mm out further.

You have xdrive?

Looks like you have allot more wheel gap than I do. I was told by the shop that they would fit fine with no rubbing issues.

Hope so....

They are out of 9.5 so I figured that 1/2 inch difference couldn't be that bad.

Does that mean it will stick out 1/2 more or does it split and go 1/4 inside and 1/4 outside?

The guys at UAP said will look aggressive and fit....no problem. Not sure what to think. Some quick math says it will stick out about 1/4 inch more than the 9.5s. Just not sure if that will look good or bad. Don't want it to stick out too far.....

I don't have x drive, nor am I lowered. It's quite aggressive. I fear if I had kept them on and had a couple persons in the back seat itwould run on bigger bumps. 1/4 inch inside and outside. Plus the tires were stretched to fit, meaning near a curb the first thing to rub would be rim not tire. I have 19x9.5 et35 coming Friday. Seems like many are running this safely.

Anyone else running 10" with the 38 offset? UAP says to run the V12s at 265 or 275/30 and they will not looked stretched.
