And all i got from the BMS guys is that the guy doing the dyno wasnt good and/or different dynos give different results.
But that does not make any sense because it is the same guy on the same dyno that did the stock one and the stage 1 for me. So although he might get different numbers than BMS dyno, the gain should be around the same ( im talking about the difference between stock and stage 1 for me).
Still waiting for Mike's feedback.
Hmm.. If that's the case i would get another dyno from someone else just to be sure.

I already payed 75 $ for the dyno i do not think i will pay another 75 $ just to be sure. After what the BMS team had to say im quite sure this is the expected gain not the 33HP that was advertised.
Im happy with that to be honest and will probably buy the stage 2, but now i know not to believe their Dyno results and just expect about 50% of the gain they advertise.

Thing is, once the S1 unit is installed and we can feel the gains, why bother with a dyno? Extra cost to tell us what we already feel & know. 0-100km/h and in gear acceleration tests for me are a better indicator of gains.

Thats exactly why i did the dyno. I contacted BMS because i thought my tuning package is not working properly and they just kept saying it is just switch to stock and you will feel the difference. did that still not much different, so i finally decided to do the dyno test to be 100% sure. I was kind of hoping to get a fix from BMS for it.

What brand of gas were you using when the car was dyno'd?

well, overall slightly disappointing, but for the price, not bad. Still beats the cost of bolt ons

Do you know what they did exactly? Btw thanks soo much for the help mike! Really means a lot to all of us that you put your time to help us all man.
I believe the +31whp peak gain was dyno tested on 93 octane pump gas in 60 degree weather. Remember it's a details business and every little detail contributes to a positive result. If the temps are higher, or fans not as powerful, or elevation higher, the tune will reduce boost. If the octane is lower, the tune will reduce timing. If you don't have several adaption runs on each map, the boost and fuel curves will not be properly learned yet.

So getting +18whp on 93 octane in 60 degree weather on a well adapted car might be below expectations while where getting +18whp on 91 octane at higher elevation on a 80 degree day might be above expectations. It's all in the details.

31whp was on 93, but was the boost at the default +3 psi or 4?

Wow. We had results much more akin to what BMS got. Here's before and after dynos: same day same car, just without and then with the JB4. This was done back in July and it was a Beta of the tuner.

I do not know for sure on on that but I would presume 4psi. There was an earlier dyno posted by them that was ~ +26whp. Maybe that was 3psi.

Till Mike's answer above, I was wondering the same as you Jameson, but 'guessed' that if BMS want to show off their (terrific) product to the best of its ability, then I too would expect the tune to be maxed out & 4psi sounds very plausible for such a big gain. no question as to the gas rating. Expected 93. Just like BMW recommend 95RON here in Australia, but all performance data is collected using 98RON, which is what I use.

A week and a half after install, the boost is just coming out of its shell, after having a number of opportunities to quickly test the awesome power & torque gains of the car. This has just been in Comfort mode with default 3psi. Cannot imagine Stage 2's results.

Yeah, I bought the cable. The gains are there, but my gut said 30whp it is not. I am willing to bet by raising the boost to 4psi, my accurate butt dyno will be happy and confirm results more in line with 30+whp.

Great. Please let us know when you have changed the boost and if you can feel a difference. Still waiting on my supplier to get back to me. I suspect he's forgotten.

Mike, what's that second field you circled on the screen? What does it do and how do we set it if we choose 4psi boost?

Someone answered what that was a page or two ago, but no answer yet as to what it should change to if boost is raised to 4psi.

Thanks. I missed it because there are so many intertwining threads, I forget which is which.

As far as 0-60 times this is what i got...
Stock:

JB Stage 1:

these are the best results after 8 pulls with the same amount of gas on the same stretch of road before the tune and after the tune.
i gave the tune a week to adjust (dont know if it needs to but i did it just in case) before timing the 0-60.

I posted about this. The n20 had a late model year change where it has the electronic boost solenoid of the n26. So as BMS states, it is left unplugged per step 1.

You have X-drive. Looks like you might not be doing a proper launch. Your gains are good, but your tuned 0-60 should be more like your stock. Are you brake torquing to 3100?
