BMW F30 3 Series Art Car FLUIDUM by Andy Reiben

COMMENTS

Czech artist Andy Reiben was commissioned by DyCom Group, a BMW Dealership in the Czech Republic to create this F30 3 Series Art Car.

"Fluidum" is the name of his creation and it features a candy/psychedelic paint scheme with portions which glow in the dark. This is what Reiben has to say about the philosophy behind his design:

"I wanted to abstractly express passion and dynamism and therefore each part of the body is different and tells a story. On the front hood there is the birth and taming of the power, right and left sides express the balance of power, day and night; the rear part symbolizes resistance and the roof sinuosity and barriers on most routes. Triple line across the whole car on one hand indicates series designation of the original vehicle and on the other the clenched claws as if you wanted to stop the beast that tries to escape."

Here's a look at past BMW art cars: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=721241

Sorry, but that is one of the uglier art cars in recent memory.

Doesn't look too bad all things considered. There are uglier Art Cars, the Warhol one for instance is pretty poor in my opinion... but really the definition of an art car isn't really to do with either the car or the paint-job, it's to do with the profile of the artist that painted it.

This reminds me most of Matazo Kamaya's E34, an is about as forgettable as it is too.

.. having said that, if you ever get the chance to go and see the art cars, I highly recommend you do so...

Art Cars which are not commissioned by BMW directly should not be called or consideered BMW Art Cars. Let's not call every BMW with funky colors an "Art Car".

I like it, a lot. That's his expression, interpretation, and truth. I like the process too, especially since he used spray cans I would've chose some other wheels though.

It's definitely abstract... The design only comes together for me when the lights go out.
And it looks like they forgot about the wheels. Make them all black, or paint the red stripe to match the car. The way they left it they just look out of place.
