Challenge exhaust

Is the Challenge sport exhaust from the downpipe back? Or is it just a rear section?

Anyone have a recommendation on who has the best pricing on a Challenge sport exhaust?

Would the HFC downpipe give the warranty any trouble? Its a lease so I'm not sure how far to take things.

BMW probably won't warranty anything on the exhaust past the DP - basically the muffler.

Do you have the Challenge exhaust or the DP? I see Challenge in your signature.

How do you like it? We just picked up a 335 for my fiance and her biggest complaint is the exhaust is too quiet. She also thought that the BMW performance exhaust was too mellow, which I agree. She really like the sound clips of the Challenge.

Being a lease, I'm not sure how far to take things. I've never modded a lease before, they've always been just DD beaters. Probably just the exhaust (no DP), wheels, springs, and some cosmetic stuff (grills, color matched reflectors, etc.).

I just have the DP. Exhuast isn't out yet... I love the DP. Gives the exhuast slightly throatier sound

I ended up pre-ordering the exhaust today. They told me 3-4 weeks. They are getting the tubing in this week.

Nice. Their quality is top notch. Did you just get the exhaust or dp too?

Because its a lease I went with just the exhaust because they said they've had a couple (not many but still) have issues with CELs with the HFC DP so I decided to keep it simple.

Cool. I think you'll be the first with the exhaust. Can't wait to hear your review on it! I came SO CLOSE to preordering it but ended up spending those mod dollars on brakes, tune and other small goodies. I'm very interested to hear your impression on the volume of the exhaust in the cabin. .. I've read users say the meistershaft is loud as balls. I'm pretty sure the Challenge will be much more conservative with a sick ass tone.

Wow....first (or at least one of) is cool. I feel special.

I'll take some pictures (and videos if I can figure out a way) and write up a review.

I ordered the Challenge exhaust, gloss black grills/wiskers (its a mineral grey sportline), color matched front/rear reflectors, HR springs, and 20" Stance sc-6 wheels in slate grey. That should take care of the mods other than some tint and coding. The wheels and exhaust are about 1 month out.

VERY NICE. Love those slate grey SC-6! Can't wait to see your build!

Did you ever received the exhaust? I pre-order early and haven't really received any update on when the exhaust will be ready.

I'm on the pre-order as well. They told me 3-4 weeks about 2.5 weeks ago. It'll be 3 weeks on Monday. They were just getting the piping in the same day I ordered it. I'll shoot them an email tomorrow and see what they say. I'll post the update they give me.

I sent them an email and haven't gotten a reply yet. It was pretty late in the day on Friday. With the time difference, they were probably out of the office already. We'll see if they get back to me or not.

I'll make sure Austin gets back to you if he has not already. He was out mid day Friday - early this AM for a customer support role at the race track. Thank you.

Is there any update on the challenge exhaust system?

What do u mean "issues with the CELs"???

I have the challenge HFC down pipe along with the meisterschaft exhaust system so just a little curious...

They simply said that a small number of people kept getting CELs with the HFC downpipe. Nothing bad was actually happening, just that the CELs were popping up on certain cars repeatedly. They didn't know why this handful of cars weren't liking the HFC downpipe. Sounded pretty uncommon but they were good enough to tell me when I asked. I decided I didn't want to potentially deal eith it since my car is a lease.

I still haven't received a response to my email sent last week. Monday will be 4 weeks from the day I ordered it. I was told 3-4 weeks. I'm hopeful but not very optomistic it'll be done by then. I've seen the quality of the challenge stuff from the M3 world and its great quality. I'm not worried about having to wait for it. I just wish they'd be a little more up front with the production timing issues.

I agree, I placed my order much earlier in the year so I am not all to please at the lack of news/notification on production.
