F30 PPK Prices paid

I thought this would be useful to start a thread like this.

I ordered mine today so once delivered I will update for dealer install price, taxes.

Its $935, unfortunately mine is a September built so had to add $100. Glad I got this special price.

http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Will get it installed hopefully early next week

Wow! Not bad! $935 is a great deal; we're getting bust by our dealers in Canada!

I was on a budget for 4 tires on an X5 and this, searched high and low for a deal and glad I found this. It got me within the budget.

How much are they charging in Canada, I was prepared to drive 300 miles if I had to for a deal. Maybe if you search something will come up and you can post here.

Great thread idea! I want to see what the various dealers are charging for the install.

I would add your dealership's name as well if possible. That will give us some ammo to better negotiate, as well as call out those dealers who are price gauging.

Honestly, I would like to see threads like this for all M related options.. suspension, brakes, interior, etc.

Thanks, I will update once the install is complete, hopefully by Wednesday next week.

How long did it take you to get the PPK with DME?

Are you in the NE, that's a good deal

Ordered on 4/4. Arrived at BMW dealer today 4/10. I'm out of state traveling so it won't be installed until next Wednesday. My out the door quote is $1275 - labor and tax included.

Not in NE, i'm in Denver, CO.

Damn, that's the cheapest I've seen so far. I'm expecting around $1200-1400 at my dealership.

Is yours a pre 11/12 build, I was told if that's the case it has to be ordered from Germany, tailored to your VIN.

That doesn't sound right, pre-11/12 requires a new DME...

Get this. I was quoted $390 for labor at sterling BMW with CCA discount. And $900 labor at long beach BMW!!! Damn I hate my local dealership!

Yes, it's a 10/12 build. Dealer asked for my vin when ordering. Although I'm out of town, I did ask them to open the box and it does have the DME.

i wish bmw made catless downpipes that would retain warranty, altough that would never happen since it wouldn't legally pass emissions anymore lol wishful thinking

I'm having trouble understanding why anybody would ever spend that type of money on something like this. For a third of the price you can get JB3 by burger tuning and get three times the power. Just saying.

Actually the PPK is 50% more than a Burger, but doesn't impact your warranty, and isn't a piggy back, but a tried and true Ecu-flash. That's why most would opt for this....yeah, sure, you can get 15-20% more power from a Burger, but there's also a reason why BMW isn't pushing it that long.

For me, engine longevity is key...if I was leasing, I'd Burger it. I own, so I'm PPK'ing it.

The good thinking with burger products is you can easily swap it out and resell it for a very reasonable price.

I don't think it would be that easy to swap out the PPK, would have to pay the dealer the 200-300 to swap it out and recode the old setup- kind of annoying, but I am assuming you would still be able to sell the PPK or would it be stuck on that car forever?
