Pretty impressive. I was taking a highway cruise last week, and saw 37mpg on my 335xi. Ecopro going 55-60mph, AC on at 65, not bad at all! I'm only wondering what I could achieve with a 328i or 328d

Yes, it's the 320d. But EU cycle is pretty different from US one. Anyway, 45 mpg it's not bad at all.

Turbo'd cars are awesome at cruising highway speeds - that MPG gets very high.
I see 328i users getting 40+ when going the speed limit and cruising on highways. |

I don't think he's referring to the differences in the methods of calculating the "EU cycle" vs the EPA cycle. I think he's talking about his real world observations.

Not a hit
This car would be a hit if BMW price it right. I believe 320d is less $$$ than 328i in Europe. Why are they the same price in US?
Make it cheaper, and you will sell many of these cars, BMW!!!!!

Very good indeed. Time for VAG to step up the game now, although they don't really compete in this class yet - until the diesel B9 A4 arrives here.
If I could drive a F31 328d MSport home for around $40k I'd be tempted. But at $50k-plus its just too much BMW tax. |

Poeple on this forum always forget that
One imperial gallon is approximately equal to 1.201 U.S. gallons. One imperial gallon is exactly 4.54609 litres, whereas one U.S. gallon is exactly 3.7854118 liters. So UK gets higher MPG stop comparing them
