Hey lets rename the 3 series Coupe to 4 series!
Yeah great idea! Let's make a 4 series with 4 doors! GENIUS! Next step will be the new 3 series 2 door variation :F

LOL Is bmw trying to confuse the human population? First off they switch the 3 series to 4 doors and 4 series to 2 doors then they have to go against regular belief and call and sedan a coupe and a 3 series with 4 doors a 4 series that supposed to have 2 doors. Am i confusing anyone yet?
Oh and its hoooorible looking Last edited by Peteypab2133; 11-14-2013 at 12:20 PM.. Reason: late to the party |

Wow, I was expecting it to look good considering how good the 6-series GC is. But they've turned it into a slightly squated 3GT. Can't see how this looks better and is worth the extra 8k above a similar equipped 3-series.

Looking at a more-revealed 4-Series Gran Coupe, BMW was absolutely right in renaming it to the 4-Series. The extra 2 doors makes this car look longer and bigger, moving away from the 3-Series. I look at it and I can no longer say it's just 3-Series with coupe styling. The appearance has moved it away to what a 3-Series should be.
With that said, can't wait to see the reveal of the 4-Series Gran Coupe. |

That guy was going FAST! That may have been one of the coolest 'ring videos I've seen of a F3* car.
I agree about the car, though... not so sure about it. Seems really big. Will need to wait for official reveal |

Two observations:
1) That was all tests around the Nurburgring should look like. 2) I don't see the point in the 4GC. I get the point of the Grand Coupe concept and I am okay with its existance, but this so far does not look any sleeker or "coupe-ier" than the 3-Series sedan. If anything it looks less like a coupe than the F30. |

Need vids/pics of the trunk/hatch/whatever open to put the mystery to rest. Did the 6 GC have this much camo in the rear? I recall some, but not the whole back of the greenhouse.

Either the camo is really good at hiding the car's awesomness, or maybe there is no awesomness...
Lets hope for a surprise 'cause i really want it to be my next car... what else??? By the way i saw a red Benz CLA today... gorgeous !! if it was a bit bigger i'd buy it instantly ! |

I think this is perfect for the person looking at a 5 series but wants something sportier without taking away too much on space.
Just need to keep the options somewhat limited as this will probably push it in the high $60k's |

I agree, but it's just that the 3GT should be able to fill that role. If it cannot then it would seem that they need to revisit its styling, not create another offering with the same features. In other words, if the 4GC turns out to be a hatchback (which is how it appears now), making it the real A5 Sportback competitor, then what purpose does the 3GT serve? I suppose one could ask the same about a 5 sedan vs. a 6 GC, but to me once you add the 5th door in the mix it really kills the coupe vs. sedan styling rationale that separates those two cars. Plus it just seems strange that the 3/4 will have two five-doors and one four-door, while the 5/6 will have two four-doors and one five-door.

Freakin' awesome video. That car was being beautifully pushed to the limits. Numerous times he endeared the corner with very subtle oversteer. So subtle that you can barely even notice any counter steer. It looks like the car is just gliding around the turn.

He's driving the piss out of that thing.
In terms of styling: I DON'T KNOW, MAN. I still see a whole lot more 3-series Gran Turismo than 6-series Gran Coupe in this thing.
