Just another vehicle BMW makes that we just don't understand. Let me clarify this...you're making a version of your best selling "economy" vehicle that is more expensive and has terrible rear window visibility...right after seeing that the 6GC really isn't selling like you thought it would?

Maybe until you look at the rear window or better yet try and use it.

I CANNOT believe this is the finished product.

I was really looking forward to this. They got it so right with the 6GC but the 4 not as much.

Im not sure its better looking than the 3. The hatch instead of a real trunk cheapens it for me. Plus the 3 has this bulky aggressive stance that I think is more appealing. Chances are after seeing this in person Ill probably still get the M4GC but too bad it wasnt a smaller M6GC.

I really like it, but I want a manual.

I really REALLY hope a manual is available in the 435GCxi version. This car is perfect - much more unique. Unfortunately I think at only a $2,600 up-charge, lots of people are going to buy it and I'd rather have something that not everyone owns. Still, I think I want it

Can't have it both ways.

A) Car should be more different, you know like the 6GC vs the 5, you know the cars that have a $25k delta between them

B) Cars look too similar, but have about a $2500 delta from 3 to 4 GC

So no one was going to get truly unique looks without paying a hell of a lot more than $2600 for it. Using the 5-6GC model is a terrible plan when applied to the 3-4GC.
This. wtf is this ugly hatchback 4 series sedan. 6 series GC drivers are going to have a nice LOL

So my prediction 4GC takes place of 3 series. 3 becomes the 2 sedan.

You may be right.

When MB introduced the CLA it was strange that the only answer BMW had was a stripped 3 Series. Didn't make sense that a multi-billion dollar car company would get trumped like that, appear to be caught with its pants down. Perhaps the F30 loses the 35i and 28i options, goes 20i only, and stabilizes as a car that maxes out at $35,000. Boom, there's your CLA combatant.

Meanwhile, the 4 GC becomes the upscale version of the old 3 Series, carries on the legacy of performance and luxury, all is well again in the BMW world.

Well, I personally think it is the best looking F3x.

FWIW I have a 2014 335d m sport, and I would have one.

To be honest, the 4-series Gran Coupe seems to be the ugliest between the three body styles. They modified it just enough to be ugly. I really wanted for the 4GC to look like the 6-series Gran Coupe but this just didn't happen.

The whole new 3/4 series range is messed up right now. Only the M3 sedan looks genuinely good, the rest of the range looks quite ugly for what you pay.

It looks nice, but why are the C pillars so wide? It looks like rearward visibility is way worse than the 3-sedan as well as the 4-coupe.

I think it's just a different camera lens, the difference is way too big. Or maybe the 4GC roof is narrowing out in the back to enhance sportiness. But this would show up in pictures, and it doesn't.

Yes but the 4gc could be the 3 and at a reasonable price, then bmw would be as agressive or more aggressive than the competition. But I will probably just get the 3 sedan and save the 2600 premium

It's not the camera lens; take a look at the black border in the rear glass and you can see how much thicker it is on the gc vs. the coupe.

I think BMW did a good job. The 4 GC to my eyes its better looking than the 3 sedan. I really don't understand why people are all upset and hateful about this car? What's wrong with having another choice. If you like the 3, great get one or keep the one you have. If like the 4 get one of those instead. Just chill out, BMW is not going to tell you have to buy one. Right about now I'm thinking a M4 GC is what I want for my next car.

First 12 months I had people asking me if it was the new M3 because F80 images had not leaked yet lol. Now it's just old news. Oh well.

4gc is a grand slam!! Love it. It looks better than the 3 or the 4 coupe. My next car will either be the 2 series or the 4gc.
