Hey Teaston, thanks for the guide. Just took a deep breath and coded EBT on the new car. Worked fine on my updated Business Nav system. Already had album art and BT streaming so didn't bother coding the 2nd part (was there any additional functionality there?). Anyway was a bit of a sphincter clencher but seemed to go ok. Now have office and can see my texts + emails. Managed to get the nice lady to read a few out too.
Thanks for the guide.

Glad it all went ok. Part 5 for voice control is only for the old Business media as the new one has full voice control as standard i believe?

If you press the voice control button on steering wheel you should be able to ask the car just about anything like select a function from any menu, navigate to a destination etc.

If you have problems with the voice control, it's worth asking BMW genius person for an update to the language pack, pick dialect required.
I had all sorts of problems until I had load the Geordie update, now it manages selecting stuff no problem.

Ok, I'm not entirely sure if you're being serious there with the dialect update or if it's the equivalent of sending somebody to the local hardware store to ask for a long weight!!

Just went out to the car to give it a go. When I hit the button on the wheel all I get is a popup saying 'voice control system available shortly'

Hehe, I was hoping for a decent wah!

It's akin to the 'how do you keep an idiot in suspense?'

Maybe I just need to go and code the 2nd bit. Is it just a case of loading the updated FA file that I saved and jumping straight in at coding CMB_Media?

No the second bit is just for basic voice control on the older business nav! From the factory my voice button did nothing!

Maybe ask shawnsheridan if he knows whats going on

I'm pretty sure I hit the voice button last week and it didn't do anything that I noticed anyway. From what you have said there should have been some voice control on the new Bus Nav.

Yes someone with new business nav and no EBT said they have full voice control from factory!

Don't quite get that post. Didn't think weather was available on Bus Nav - it's Business Plus needed for weather? Or is that exactly the same unit with a few more online functions?

@badders74 said he has bus nav, not bus nav plus, maybe he told us wrong?

Apologies if this has been asked & answered before but is there anything else option wise I can usefully add in the FA list to a Pro Nav set up ? EBT is working already ?

Not without adding hardware, or expensive FSC codes!
